2021 Trek Information
Save the date and plan on attending the Society’s 67th annual Trek hosted by the Crook County Historical Society the weekend of June 4, 2021. Early bird registration is May 1, with a final registration deadline of May 15th. Of course you’ll all recall that this Trek had to be canceled last year due to COVID-19. It is important to note that all safety precautions will be taken.
Trek coordinators are planning visits to Sundance, Devils Tower, Hulett, Aladdin, Moorcroft and more. While there will be many highlights and opportunities to learn about the region’s history, it will be especially exciting to see the new Old Stoney museum and Cultural Arts Center!
Crook County was named for Brigadier General George Crook, an army commander during the Indian Wars. You can learn more by reading an article by Nicole Lebsack found at www.wyohistory.org/encyclopedia/crook-county-Wyoming.
The early bird registration fee is $80 per person ($75 for members) and includes meals, entrance fees and transportation. Registration is required no later than May 15th, with an early bid registration of May 1. Register online using the form found here.
