Larson Wyoming Historical Foundation "Wyoming's War Years, 1941-1945" by Wyoming's pre-eminent historian, Dr. T.A. Larson, was first published in 1954 by Stanford University Press. By the 1980s it was long out-of-print and hard to find on the rare book market. In 1993, with the arrival of the 50th anniversary of World War II, a decision was made by the Wyoming Historical Foundation to republish the book in a soft-cover format that would make it available once again to readers of Wyoming history. The reprint edition includes a new foreward by Dr. David Kathka. The text of the book provides detailed information about how the world war affected people in Wyoming. The book also provides a number of appendices, most notably a county-by-county listing of the 1095 Wyoming citizens who lost their lives in World War II.
