Lola Homsher Grant Program -- 2004 Grant Recipients

2004 Lola Homsher Awards

The recipients of the 2004 Wyoming State Historical Society Lola Homsher Award have been announced. Nine applicants submitted requests. Only $2,500 is funding is available this year. This year four applicants received funding to be used for Wyoming-related historical research. Those individuals were :

1. Richard Adams Of Laramie Wyoming for Continuing Soapstone research in memory of J.D. Love, Teton Mountains, Wyoming

2. Elizabet de Vallee of the Wyoming Historic Governors Mansion in Cheyenne, WY for First Family Oral History Interview series

3. Tom Rea of Casper, WY for researching the middle of nowhere – history and meaning of the lower Sweetwater valley.

4. Chavawn Kelly of Laramie, WY Sharp Nose biographical project on the last chief of the Arapaho tribe
