2000 Wyoming Historical Calendar Published by the American Heritage Center, University of Wyoming, in cooperation with the Wyoming State Historical Society. Calendar edited by Rick Ewig, Associate Director, American Heritage Center. The 2000 calendar captures Wyoming residents preserving parts of their historic past. The calendar shows "scenes of commemorating citizens-marking, preserving, and restoring the structures of that past and memorializing the state's pioneers." From the July photo of the Oregon Trail marker in Guernsey to a photo of pioneers visiting the J.D. Woodruff cabin, the calendar displays scenes in which the Wyoming State Historical Society continues to participate. Entries, such as "1st organized prize fight in Wyoming, Dale City (1868)" and "School at St. Stephen's mission opened (1890)" in the 2000 calendar, are included for each day of the year.
