This calendar was published by the Division of Parks & Cultural Resources, Wyoming Department of Commerce, in cooperation with the Wyoming State Historical Society. Designed by Melinda Brazzale and Edited by Mark Junge. ![]() The theme for the 1995 Wyoming State Historical Society Calendar is the 100th year anniversary of the Wyoming State Museum. Dona Bachman, Director of the Wyoming State Museum in 1995, detailed the history of Wyoming's efforts to showcase Wyoming's efforts to preserve "Wyoming's material history." From its first attempts in 1871 when "the Territorial Legislature provided for the preservation of historical collections in a library," Bachman's story of the Wyoming State Museum courses through one hundred years and nearly one million pieces in the collections. ![]() Another person portrayed was Thomas C. Molesworth, a leader in the popular genre of decorative arts in the 1930's. Western craftsman led Molesworth to open the Shoshone Furniture Comapany, where he "began making western furniture for lodges, dude ranches, and hotels, clubs and corporate offices from coast to coast. Molesworth's products are now collectors items." His story and a photograph of his work are displayed on the two pages for August 1995. about previous Wyoming Historical Calendars:
