From the July, 2002 (Volume 49, Number 4) issue of the Wyoming History News, Loren Jost, Editor...
49th WSHS Annual Meeting to be hosted by Sweetwater County chapter, Sept. 6-8, 2002
The Sweetwater County Historical Society has issued an invitation to all
Wyoming State Historical Society members to participate in this year's
annual meeting of the state society.
The gathering is set for the weekend after Labor Day, September 6-8,
in Green River.
The WSHS Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for members from across
the state to gather and share their love for history. It's also an
opportunity to participate in the governance of the state organization,
and the event provides a variety of social and history-related
activities that are expected to appeal to all members.
The society's awards program also culminates with the awards luncheon on
Saturday, September 7.
A list of motels in the Green River area providing special rates will be
found below and those who plan to attend the activities will want to
make their reservations well in advance.
The fee for the weekend will be $60 and registrations are being accepted
now. Please use the form [included in the newsletter] and register as
early as possible.
